...we were tired of scraping grime off our shoes. Our canvas tops were getting stained, and our white soles were never white for long. We were cleaning our $250 sneakers with $5 bottles of detergent—it simply was not good enough. On top of it all, the more involved we got with our collection, the more time we needed to spend on maintenance. Taking care of 50 pairs of shoes feels like the hobby none of us asked for. Eventually, you stop wearing your best sneakers, since you dread getting them dirty.

We came up with a simple plan: build the first automated shoe cleaning device and never wear a dirty pair of sneakers again.
